9/17/2023 0 Comments Sun square moon composite![]() If I were objectively looking at myself I would say Im indecisive, moral, always seeking love, romantic, sociable and always weighing the pro's and con's of a situation.I also tend not to have emotional displays in public as they do. Both my siblings have a Scorpio rising and are bitter, often angry people who need a lot of private time. Everytime I have done my chart it comes as a Scorpio asc, but I definitely do NOT feel like one. His libra moon may have been conjunct my ascendant but I cant recall his exact birthtime to confirm which is frustrating and Im also a bit hazey about my rising sign. The first experience was a pain for sure. So far I've had two experiences with the Sun square moon in relationships. It could be other planetary aspects at play that I'm unaware of too but I'm still learning so its coming to me slowly. I was thinking that this person I know now with the square sun moon is one of the most interesting people I've met so far relationship wise, but this could be my Scorpio moon reveling in a bit of emotional messiness. So, that's a good aspect in relationships. The sun/moon conjunction doesn't have the "blind spot" of the square - so they tend to understand where each of them is "coming from", making for an intense experience in which they feel connected. Eventually though, failed relationships will force them to recognise that the problem must be with them. The afflicted sun individual would see themselves as normal and the moon partner as over-emotional - whilst in reverse they would see the other as being unemotional. Jeez - cold fish frozen cod inhumane or what? However, we are talking about squares - so it's the partner and everyone else that notices. So, it's bad enough being unable to recognise or accept your own emotions (individual chart) without also failing to do the same with your partner. ![]() With the aspect in both the individual chart and synastry, that person gets a "double whammy" - effectively making it impossible to not become aware of the problem in themselves. But, I doubt that those under 40 would endure such relationships now. ![]() I'm 60 now and this aspect worked fine with my parents generation and many of mine - where the man tended to be the sun partner, which reflected the "accepted" male/female roles at the time. But, life does of course - so those relationships that I've seen survive with this sun/moon square involved (as you suspect) older generations. Good question - and the standard response would be that astrology does not recognise gender. ![]() 9/16/2023 0 Comments Thought train amc os![]() ![]() ![]() However, just when they finally get onboard and on route to Headquarters, the destruction of Honesty Island destroys the train's tracks, causing it to be literally lost in the Memory Dump.Thought Train Services focus on providing experienced, business-oriented communicators with cyber security talent for hire. Despite energy being one of the most valuable products most people consume on a daily basis, there’s a “complete disconnect” with consumers. In New Zealand, O’Connor says the majority of consumers have either “completely disengaged” from the process of buying electricity or it’s a “disgruntled purchase”. “We wanted to really change consumers’ experiences of how they use electricity and actually start to value it again,” he says. Instead, Flick focused on breaking down some of the barriers that have long existed between the suppliers and retailers of energy and end consumers. “And you’re not going to beat them at scale because they’ve already got that.” ![]() “The New Zealand industry is strewn with companies that have tried to come into the energy industry and beat the big guys but the challenge is most of them realised they were just putting a model in place that was just trying to beat the big guys at their own game,” he says. “It’s kind of hard for these big guys because they have these legacy systems that they can’t move away from.”Īnd so entering the New Zealand market meant finding a way to change the rules of the game, says O’Connor. We’re a bunch of entrepreneurial people, we’d worked in an industry which we knew wasn’t really putting the customer at the centre and we realised it wasn’t really using digital technology to the best of its ability,” he says.Īs O’Connor puts it, “energy has just not changed for decades and decades the same old people have been doing the same old stuff”. O’Connor says that experience is what drives Flick Electric’s desire to put the customer at the centre of everything it does. “As a retailer we’d probably find partners and whether that’s licensing our platform or joint ventures with partners, we would want to find people that understand the Australian market and we would focus on delivering a platform that delivers that differentiation and value in the market.” Disrupting an industryįlick Electric was founded by a group of six people, four of which had previously worked in the energy industry, including for New Zealand energy generator and retailer Meridian Energy. “We would very unlikely go in there and do it all ourselves,” he says. When Flick Electric does venture into Australia, O’Connor says it will likely be through a partnership. “We love the Powershop guys and what they’re doing and they’ve shown the way that New Zealand energy and innovation does do well offshore and I think Powershop is doing very well in the Australian market,” O’Connor says. O’Connor, who is the former chief executive of startup incubator Creative HQ, says the likes of online energy retailer Powershop have paved the way for a company like Flick to cross the Tasman. On a net customer basis, Flick was the second fastest growing energy retailer in New Zealand last year and the fastest growing retailer in the country in April this year. In a market that is largely dominated by just a few retailers, Flick grew by 37% each month throughout 2015. Using the Flick app, customers can use this pricing information to help them decide when to consume and when to turn off – and once they’ve made the decision, they can access the wholesale price from the spot market. In the space of less than two years, Flick Electric has changed the way many New Zealanders think about their energy consumption, thanks to an online platform that gives those consumers access to information about how the energy they are using is produced and more importantly, why it is priced the way it is. Inside the Flick Electric headquarters in Wellington.Īustralia is at the top of the list of potential markets for New Zealand energy retailer Flick Electric, which has convinced more than 10,000 customers in its homeland to sign up to its digital platform. ![]() 9/16/2023 0 Comments Scenery painting easy night![]() The intent with this technique is to allow a lighter blue to be closest to the circle and for the blue to get darker as it gets to the edge.Ĭontinue adding more phthalo blue to your brush and paint in circles working your way to the edges of the canvas. It's meant to be played in bursts and pondered over, and I, for one, appreciate that, though I understand it may not be for everybody.Ģ2h 5m PlayedNon-gioco noiosissimo. I will say though if you go into this expecting every little mystery to be wrapped up into a neat little bow at the end. but Kentucky Route Zero is a game that requires that approach because it really isn't like anything else I've played. I hate to be one of those people that throws up their hands and goes "woops, tee-hee, no spoilers you just gotta experience it yourself". Some of the more memorable parts of the game wouldn't have had the same impact without this crucial interactive element (in particular, one towards the end of ACT IV). The dialogue system is interesting in that, it's not about figuring out which option will give you the best outcome, but more about influencing the mood of the conversation (I.E., pragmatic, poetic, etc.). I loved exploring the locations, each unique, surreal, and wonderfully atmospheric there were several moments where I just stopped and admired the (oftentimes haunting) beauty of the scene. The way I'm describing it makes it sound more like a book than a game, so let me make it clear: the game part, while limited, is important, and part of the reason I'm recommending it. More characters join as you get further in, and I enjoyed their perspectives and banter. It's certainly not the pretentious shitshow I expected it to be. We're drawn into Conway and Shannon's story not because they're genius philosophers, but because they're normal people who've reached a point in their lives where conversations about purpose and meaning will naturally come about. But the moments where the game gets profound aren't overly preachy, which in turn, makes the cast more relatable. The thing I like about this is that not every conversation is profound, and that's what grounds it and makes it so human. While it does have clear, coherent themes, Kentucky Route Zero is at its best when it just sits back and lets the characters muse about different topics (many related to the story, I assure you). I can't pretend to know the meaning behind every little thing in this game, but in a way, it doesn't matter. and yeah, I'm one of those people who love it. 10h 40m PlayedA love it or hate it game through and through. ![]() 9/16/2023 0 Comments Avocode logo![]() Optional: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes and 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro.
